Krasnodar Region delegation meets Chairman of the Union of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Russia at St Petersburg International Economic Forum 2026

Deputy Governor Alexander Ruppel and Zhou Liqun discussed cooperation prospects, joined by Yulia Prikhodko, Head of the Krasnodar Region’s Department for Business Development and Foreign Economic Activity.

«China remains one of the Krasnodar Region’s key foreign trade partners. By the end of 2025, trade turnover between our region and the People’s Republic of China had increased by 57%. We are committed to deepening cooperation across trade, economics, investment, and manufacturing, developing logistics connectivity, and implementing joint projects,» said Alexander Ruppel.

Zhou Liqun, Chairman of the Union of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Russia, expressed an interest in expanding cooperation with the Krasnodar Region, including in grain supply, with particular attention given to prospects in the agricultural sector.

«The People's Republic of China is an important international partner for the Krasnodar Region. Our established humanitarian and business ties provide a strong foundation for deeper cooperation, and we are committed to supporting joint projects and creating the conditions for expanded engagement between our businesses, particularly in investment and technology,» said Yulia Prikhodko.

The Krasnodar Region is steadily developing international cooperation with Chinese regions. In May 2026, the region’s delegation visited Harbin, where meetings were held with local authorities and major Chinese companies to discuss trade and economic ties, industrial cooperation, and new logistics routes.
